Viewing PhotonShows

PhotonShow viewer questions:

The resolution of the photos seems reduced when I view them in shows.
PhotonShow themes are optimized for 1024x768 display resolution. They will resize automatically to other screen sizes, but the quality will be best if viewed with your monitor set to 1024x768.

Some people aren't able to view the show I've published.
They need to have the Macromedia Flash 5 Player or higher installed to view shows. This is preinstalled on many operating systems, or can be downloaded from this location: http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer/

Some shows that I've posted on the web are taking a long time to load - I just see a blank screen while it loads.
In addition to the number of photos, including a soundtrack with the show will also increase the size and the time required to load before the shows starts. The soundtrack will be loaded before any graphics are displayed.

Can I print photos from PhotonShows?
Yes, most PhotonShows are designed to let you print the individual photos. Click on the Print button at the end of the show to enter the printing mode.

For printing while the show is running, including the graphics and animations, you need to "screen capture" the show as it runs. While this is a little more difficult than simply printing the photo by itself, it can be done as follows:

With the show running full screen, press the "PrntScrn" button on your keyboard. This will capture the screen and copy it to the Windows Clipboard. From here you can paste the screen in most applications and print using that application. For example, you can start the Paint utility provided with Windows and select Paste from the Edit menu. The screen you captured by pressing "PrntScrn" when the PhotonShow was playing will appear in the Paint application. From there you can edit the screen from within Paint, and print it using the Print menu command in the File menu.

Can someone who is viewing the show extract and save the photos from the show as individual files?

No. A PhotonShow is a single file that contain all of the photos, captions and sounds in a compressed format.
